NIST's post-911 physics      4-Aug-09 09:01 pm
By default, the NIST's (coverup) explanation of the fall of the WTC should deem that expensive demolition experts and crews are no longer necessary to bring down steel buildings.

All one needs to do is take out a couple of support columns from a floor, and set those floors on fire

Pathetic!

http://www.prisonplanet.com/botched-buil...

while it's possible that aircraft destruction of the structural steel could have contributed to the upper third collapse of the buildings, it is impossible that the upper third could crush through the lower two thirds, the lower two-thirds unweakened as the NIST now admits despite previous copious defense of the initial "burning jet fuel" displacement theory.

It is now irrefutable, the fires on 911 were not hot enough to weaken much less melt the structural steel of the WTC. The NIST's own testing via Underwriters Laboratory proved this, and few are aware or remember that the 11th floor of the north tower burned three times longer and hotter in 1975 -- the structural steel not only did not melt but did not weaken under many more floors of "crushing weight"

This is why over 700 architects and engineers have signed a statement that the NIST's coverup investigation is full of @#$%, and demanding a new independent investigation (the NIST is part of the Dept of Commerce and ruled over by Bush cronies during the previous admin. SAIC, a defense contractor which actually manufactures nano-thermite, residue of which has been found at ground zero validated by peer-reviewed studies, was a large part of the NIST's investigation)
