I have seen things as a poor and homeless person myself and can give an eye witness account of what I have seen! During the last decade I was turned away from Lansing, Michigan's Sparrow Hospital while perishing from pneumonia even though I was looked at by a Doctor!! When I asked the nurse how that could be after they had taken the "Hippocratic Oath;" she just giggled and looked sheepish!!! The same hospital chased me through time with a bill and damaged my credit (which I discovered by making a credit check on myself paying the Privacy Guard business for the service through my union the following decade) which I made them correct. The reason for the bill was Sparrow Hospital had put 17 stitches under my right eye and treated my bleeding nose after I was assaulted by Volunteers of America Rescue Mission staff (of Lansing, Michigan) to retaliate for my bringing legal actions to reform Michigan's rescue missions. Also, during the same decade I was at St. Lawrence Hospital in Lansing, Michigan after a plasma donation went wrong (which was why the plasma center paid for my ambulance trip and medical treatment). While there I observed the medical staff failing to stop a man who was attempting to smash his own brains out on the wall and the medical staff was acting as though it was funny!!!!!!!!!! After observing that the only treatment the hosptial staff gave me was to add a bag of saline to my blood after a green nurse kept "re-stabbing" me with a "roofing nail" size needle (causing damage and blinding pain) and then I was made to walk all the way from the hospital to the Volunteers of America Rescue Mission during the night where I had to fend off the attempted assault of a gay male while I was laying on my bunk, delirious and with my shirt off!!!!!! The worst effects I have experienced from a plasma donation that goes wrong is that one cannot get up off the floor, goes blind but can still hear!!!
