My dear bluebottle66: Your living in Texas excuses your not knowing what's going on in Michigan. To begin with, Michigan's Republican Governor Engler is a German Catholic. It is no secret that the Republicans, aided by Rush Limbaugh, have long been pandering the erosion of separation of church and state to get Christian votes; especially by offering a ban on abortion and prayer in school which they always seem to be able to flim flam the voters into believing that they are going to deliver on (and then never do). Next the Republicans have fooled the voters into allowing the destruction of social services to turn the welfare money into corporate welfare (money which TV news shows like Dateline have revealed get spent on "Strip Joints" instead of "trickling down" into the hands of the poor...resulting in a "religion for others plan" that Rescue Missions brainwash the poor with to keep them in subjection...instead of rioting...while they are fleeced by the robber baron power elite backed by censorship of the press). My argument to the Ingham County Circuit Court of Michigan, concerning my request for a Writ of Mandamus to compel Lansing Michigan's Mayor Hollister to do his job by freeing the slaves included a totality of circumstances. I made the point that the poor that have been reduced to homeless and with no money for transportation, no money for communication and no money to do their laundry and are stuffed into Rescue Missions with drug addicts, alcoholics and the mentally ill and are just like persons in a "life raft" in the middle of the ocean; they are "free to leave" but if they do they will drown (perish by the elements) or be eaten by sharks (become victims of crime; such as: robbery, rape and murder). I argued that the homeless are thus "Prisoners Without a Sentence" and that the Koromatsu case therefore applies. I argued further that the state and federal provisions of separation of church and state had been violated as these people had been handed over to church run rescue missions. I argued lastly that placing these homeless persons under duress to work for free violates the federal and state constitutional slave laws. Despite the fact that these allegations where supported by written reports by an elderly former educator, Victoria Easterday, and I, a former police officer; Judge Glazer just simply threw up his hands and stated: "Oh, I just can't believe there's slaves." The case involved is entitled: David J. Reed vs Mayor Hollister and the City of Lansing. Next the due process on my Judicial Tenure Commission complaint against Judge Glazer was blocked. When I brought the case of David J. Reed vs the City of Lansing later, to punish the City of Lansing, Michigan for failing to perform their public safety duties which includes keeping the poor and homeless from freezing to death, Ingham County Circuit Court Judge Houk refused to impanel the jury and refused to have the subpoenaed witnesses present nor have the evidence present. I had everything in order. Professor George Warren, Esq., was present. Next the Judge proceeded with everything and most everyone missing (7 of the 27 subpoenaed witnesses showed up) despite my objections. Next I proceeded into the Michigan Court of Appeals and the Michigan Supreme Court with my cases (see message #67 on this message board) which the government attornies issued "tongue in cheek" surrender briefs for at the Michigan Supreme Court level. The Michigan Supreme Court refused to accept the surrender of the government and blocked the due process of the cases.
