Shred, I am proud of your understanding of structural engineering. And I even applaud your determination to get to the root of what happened on 9/11. But even if there were NO explosives placed in the twin towers PRIOR to 9/11, the fact is explosives entered the towers in the form of fuel tanks on two hijacked airliners taking off from Logan Airport and this should NEVER, NEVER have been allowed.

Now when John Kerry's office was contacted by Steve Elson in Houston who offered to fly up at his own expense to show Kerry some solutions to securing Logan and other airports, the Kerry staffer balked and said Kerry wouldn't entertain Elson because he wasn't from Massachusettes; Elson may have been an aviation security expert with very important information but he wasn't a resident of Boston or environs so they shut him out. Elson would have none of it and exploded at the Kerry staffer that an attack on our airlines could kill hundreds of his constituents - what would Kerry have to say then?

I mention this because the issue is also about public safety and national security - areas where the Neocons and Uberlibs have scored very low marks indeed, and not for lack of intelligence or ability but for want of courage while, in Zelikow's case, exhibiting a willingness to unleash the dogs of war on an unsuspecting American public.
