Alper, you obviously have never lived with a person with schizophrenia and never had to deal with a schizophrenic family member. If you did, I am certain you'd have completely different views about psych meds.
Over many years, I've experienced myself many bad side effects of many psych meds, but weighing the good vs the bad, I'd still consider antidepressant and antipsychotic meds to be the BEST human invention since penicillin. I currently am a productive citizen with a stable career and family life and live in a decent home. But if I had taken YOUR kind of advice from the beginning and never taken meds, I'd probably be institutionalized somewhere, just like some of my family members from a few generations ago (who had schizophrenia BEFORE modern-day psych meds were invented).
